Rabbi Riddle: Be Prepared!

Throughout the world, Jews are preparing for Shavuos, the holiday that celebrates the Giving of the Torah. Here are some Shavuos fun facts:

The Jewish nation camped at Mount Sinai as "one man and one heart." In the merit of their love and respect for each other, they received the Torah.
When G-d gave the Ten Commandments, no creature made noise and there was no echo. This teaches us that everything on earth absorbed G-d's words. Our job is to uncover the holiness that already exists in the world. We do that by learning Torah and fulfilling the Mitzvos!
Shavuos is also known as Yom HaBikurim, the Day of the First Fruits. Farmers would bring their finest produce to the Holy Temple to thank G-d for all His blessings.
