Torah means "instruction." Everything in Torah teaches us a lesson.

Torah is weighed against all the mitzvos, because learning leads to doing.
As soon as a baby can talk, we teach him this verse, "Torah Tziva Lanu Moshe Morasha Kehillas Yaakov." "The Torah that Moshe commanded us is the heritage of the congregation of Jacob."
