In this week's Parsha, Vayeira, G-d appeared to Abraham three days after his circumcision, when he felt the most pain. From this we learn that there is a mitzvah of Bikur Cholim, visiting the sick.
- The Talmud says that a person who visits the sick removes 1/60th of the illness.
 - Besides visiting the sick, you should pray for them and give charity for them, too.
 - When Moses's sister Miriam was sick, the Israelites waited for her to get better before traveling to Israel.
